Today I made a bright yellow kite,
With sticks and paper and strings,
With a long pink tail,
Ribbons to make it sail,
All we need now is some wind,
To sail my kite up high,
To sail it up in the sky,
With the birds and the clouds and the sun shining down,

I took it to the park with my sister,
She blew it like a balloon,
But all it did was flitter and flutter,
We needed the wind to come soon,
To sail my kite up high,

Sally my dog caught the string on her tail,
She raced all around til the kite set sail,
We danced around as the kite dipped and dived,
