Pavilion Recording Session

Tonight I spent a few hours in a sound room in the Bondi Beach Pavilion. It was great to be able to set up my gear that I feel comfortable using to record and just playing a few of my songs. As I finish them, I’ll post them. It will be fun to share them in this acoustic way.

This first one is called Your Man.

What’s coming up?

Well,  we just had our first Dylan Chronicles play read with music last night and it was very exciting. Simon Rippingale will be doing the music for it, which is fantastic, and Lenni Munro is playing Joan Baez which is a perfect part for her. Really looking forward to rehearsals over the next few weeks. The play opens on the 8th of May.

The Loft gig was fun and relaxed, playing outside  in the front courtyard. It was a warm night and had a great atmosphere. Speaking of relaxed and warm, I played today in Eastwood in their Outdoor Plaza, and it was very enjoyable as it always is. It is a great opportunity to play my sets in a way that I always try to when I am in a busier or more up tempo venue… just clearly and simply.

Things coming up, which I will definitely post more info about, is the season launch for Tamarama Rock Surfers Theatre Company on Monday the 6th of April at The Oxford Arts Factory.  Popstuds at the Unity Hotel in Balmain on the 7th. In Perth I am sharing the bill with Mister and Sunbird at Little Creatures Brewery on Friday the 10th of April and then off to Albany for a solo performance at The Vancouver Arts Centre on the 18th of April. I am looking forward to all these dates and hope you can make it along to one of them.
